The ABPI has announced that it has cancelled the representatives examination scheduled to take place in Heathrow on 18th September due to COVID-19. Instead it plans to run an online examination with live proctoring although details haven’t been made public yet.
For representatives approaching the end of their one-year time limit to attempt the examination, or two-year limit to pass the examination, employers need to request an extension to the required timelines by completing this form on the PMCPA’s website: https://www.pmcpa.org.uk/training/application-for-an-extension-of-time-to-take-the-representative-examinations/. Failure to do so when individuals continue to operate as a representative on behalf of the company will constitute a breach of the Code.
